Modelling & Prediction

iAcoustics use the most advanced acoustic prediction and modelling software to simulate the acoustic and noise control aspects of our client’s project. This allows us to produce visualisations and auralisations of the acoustic outcomes of a project, adding certainty to the end product and peace of mind to the client. Undertaking acoustic modelling is a cost effective approach to ensuring that your facility sounds just right.

There are two different types of modelling:

1. Room Acoustic Modelling: We model the space in 3D and can accurately predict the acoustic environment, including the echo, speech intelligibility, music clarity within the room. This data can be represented visually and/ or aurally through MP3 files.
This is essential data when designing lecture theatres, concert halls, music venues, theatres, atria etc.
2. Sound Insulation Modelling: This involves modelling the space and the component elements that seperate adjacent rooms so as to predict the level of sound insulation. This is essential data when acoustic criteria have been set and must be achieved. Confidence that the wall/ floor build up will achieve the desired level of sound insulation is imperative and can be achieved through sound insulation modelling.
This is essential data when designing houses and apartments, studios, hospital wards and rooms, school classrooms, cellular offices and boardrooms etc.
