Modeling & Prediction

iAcoustics use the most advanced acoustic modeling software to simulate the acoustic and noise control aspects of various spaces and facilities. Creating acoustic models allows us to produce visualisations and auralisations which predict the acoustic outcomes of the architectural design of spaces. This process adds certainty to the acoustic outcome of a space and mitigates against costly design mistakes. Undertaking acoustic modeling is an effective means of ensuring that your facility meets the acoustic specifications and design criteria.

There are two different types of acoustic modelling undertaken by iAcoustics:

1. Room Acoustic Modeling: We model the space in 3D and can accurately predict the acoustic environment, including the echo, speech intelligibility, music clarity within the room. This data can be represented visually and/ or aurally through MP3 files.
This is essential data when designing lecture theatres, concert halls, music venues, theatres, atria etc.

2. Sound Insulation Modeling: This involves creating acoustic models of the space and defining the component elements that seperate adjacent rooms so as to predict the level of sound insulation. This is essential data when acoustic criteria have been set in the design and must be achieved in order to show compliance with the specifications. Confidence that the wall/ floor build up will achieve the desired level of sound insulation is imperative and can be achieved through sound insulation modeling.
This is essential data when designing houses and apartments, studios, hospitals and healthcare facilities, school classrooms, cellular offices and boardrooms etc.
