Big Blue Cloud Recording Studio

When we were planning the Big Blue Cloud project iAcoustics were the obvious choice in terms of the design and build of the studio. This was not a straight forward project. We had to make the studio work for a wide range of applications. It had to perform as a critical audio recording studio plus a TV studio. Jim Dunne immediately understood our requirements and responded with a fully integrated proposal. Using flexible construction techniques the studio was built within two weeks. An amazing achievement for such a detailed build. The room acoustics are excellent which allows us to provide our customers with a professional studio environment. The integration of the green screen technology into the fabric of the building enables us to utilise to the full the sophisticated video production technology which is integral part of this facility. We are delighted with the studio and how well it matches with our requirements. Well done iAcoustics!

iMix Radio Studio

Following a successful public procurement tendering process in summer 2011, we appointed iAcoustics to undertake the acoustic design and fit out of a new broadcast media facility at Limerick College of Further Education. The project involved the creation of two independent radio studios, sound-isolated from a third pre-production space by means of an outer hallway. Our goal was to create a training environment for learners that would replicate, in so far as possible, a real radio station working environment. It was obvious from the outset that iAcoustics understood our specific needs. They listened thoroughly and provided us with options and solutions which suited our requirements and budget. We set a very strict timeline for delivery on the overall project, as the new facility had to be completed for learners arriving in September. The entire tender was planned, executed and completed without any delays. Our new broadcast media facility is now fully functional and we are launching a 24 hour radio station iMix, LCFE Online Radio, in 2012. Our learners are benefitting significantly through the development of their skills in a professional environment that reflects that found in the radio industry. Our experience of iAcoustics has been a very positive one. Jim Dunne and his team are effective communicators who delivered to our high level expectations. I am happy to recommend them to any company or public service organisation that is looking to expand existing or develop new professional broadcasting studio facilities.

IT Tralee Music Recording Studios

iAcoustics took what was an unused room in our Hotel, Catering & Tourism building and converted it into the busiest studio facility in the college. Its booked from 8am in the morning until the building closes, day in day out for classes and project work, including saturdays. Sound insulation was critical to us as the building is occupied by other classrooms in close proximity who would not appreciate being disturbed by noise from the studio. The room acoustics are excellent and really support the teaching environment and process. The space delivers a clean, dry sound and drums in particular are a joy to work with and this is not always the case in other facilities. The students get a great grounding in a professional studio environment which will stand to them in their future careers.

Clare FM Radio Studios

We engaged iAcoustics to work with us in the design, build and fit-out of our new radio station facility in Ennis. From the start of the project they tuned into our needs and quickly came up with a detailed base design specification. This allowed us to use the local resources available to us in terms of building while iAcoustics took care of all the critical acoustic issues. The collaboration worked seamlessly and it delivered a professional sounding studio facility. We found iAcoustics to be very professional to deal with and their service is ideally suited to the needs of radio broadcasters. They understand budgets and gave us practical cost effective solutions which we could implement.
